This organization established under Company Registration Act 2013 under the name of “Srijoni Green Producer Company Limited” with active support and guidance from NABARD with  450 farmers hailed basically from the tribal communities who were  share holders of the Company and associated with farm and non-farm activities. Our production unit located at village Kadamhir under the Block Md. Bazar of Birbhum district adjacent to Jharkhand State. The company came into effective from 5th November, 2014 as a FPO.

The Srijoni Green Producer Company Limited formed to utilize the possibilities and potentialities    of the huge resources of Cashew, green and ripe mangoes produced in the plantation of 1000 WADIs (small Orchard) supported by NABARD to the facilitating Agency – Angargaria Srijoni Siksha Niketan. These Wadis are implemented during 2011 to 2014 in Birbhum district by the Agency as guided by NABARD.

OBJECT :

The Company will provide sustainable income by establishing assured market & price for the   farm and non-farm produce of the shareholders (farmers & artisans) by adopting multiple marketing channels and preventing them from the clutches of middlemen

To carry on the production, harvesting, procurement, storage, processing, packing, distribution, marketing, selling and trading of all agricultural, non-agricultural, horticultural, vegetables, medicinal, spices, crops, poultry, apiculture, sericulture, their processed products and other allied products, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, farm machineries and related extension and consultancy services for ultimate benefits to the members of the company.

To undertake Organic production programme, processing and Certification, Export and trade business (as per National and International norms and standards) of all agricultural, horticulture, vegetables, crops and dairy products their allied forms, by the members and non member producers of the company. It will include import and hire of goods and services in all forms, for the benefit of the members.

SPICE PROCESSING UNIT

Initially, Srijoni Green Producer Company Limited promoted by the Agency took up a small project of preparing spice grinding and packaging. Now, the Producer Company has introduced upgraded packaging unit and producing high quality of grinded organic spices in a most hygienic. Company has able to expand its production unit with the credits supports received from different financial partners that given us an opportunity to increase the Company’s production.

v  Cashew Processing, Branding, Packaging and Marketing

The company started Cashew nut Processing in the year 2018. During the year 2019, the Company received a sanction of Rs. 50 lakh from NABKISAN for procuring improved machineries and raw materials for the Cashew Processing Unit. The Company is processing more than 2 MT of raw cashew nuts each year and marketed successfully.

Cashews are produced by the WADI farmers and transported to the Processing Unit to get the finished nuts. The Cashews those are produced in the Wadi fields are aggregated from the farmers and kept ready for processing by the Company for the year.

Vegetable Cultivation

Vegetable cultivation using organic manure and organic pesticides has been introduced to utilize the water through drip. The Company has introduced Drip Irrigation system in the plots at Kadamhir village to grow various vegetables round the year in the land taken leased from Angargaria Srijoni Siksha Niketan. Tomato, chili, brinjal, ladies finger, pumpkin, sweet gourd, bitter gourd, ridge gourd, cucumber, papaya are cultivated in various plots applying organic methods. The quality and quantity of production has attracted the local vegetable grower and also the user families. The vegetables are sold through the factory premises everyday and the excess quantity is sold in the markets. Farmers from other villages are coming to learn the techniques of cultivation and use of water. A good effect of such composite farming system has been spreading into the localities

VERMICOMPOST UNIT

Vermi-compost has been set up in the factory premises for organic cultivation. Members are trained by the Agency through the Micro Entrepreneur Development Programme supported by NABARD. The products are packaged and marketed through the Producer Company as per the supply order received from different organization and farmers.

BROWN RICE UNIT

Brown Rice cultivation is taken by the farmers. The farmers are trained in different agriculture training programme organized by the Agency. Company has installed a “Motorised Dheki” for production of Brown Rice. The harvested rice are processed by the Company and marketed to different shops and consumers of the locality as well as in the towns through its marketing channels.
